Brussel Seafood Show 2009

Coast Seafood joined this year's seafood show with huge expertations due to our incrediable increase of enquiries from all markets.

The situation in Chile is worst than ever expected. Most of the big buyers of Salmon are now looking to Norway to secure their needs. We have had many inquiries especially from the North American market. Today, we are very satisfied that we have a branch office located in this market (Coast Seafood USA LLC, Boston MA USA).

The trend is towards VAP products. Most of our buyers are looking into different types of filets to make their purchase even more efficient than today.

In 2005, Coast Seafood established their own VAP department in Bergen. This was a good strategic decision and the whole group takes advantage of this today.

Our challenge will be to establish enough capasity for post rigor filet production. We are already at the top of our capasity. New investments will be done to increase our capasity both on post and prerigor filets.
