Coast Seafood AS and Bring Frigoscandia

Almost 10 years ago, Coast Seafood AS was the first exporter
that sent Norwegian Salmon from the northern part of Norway
to Oslo by railway. The transport was performed and developed
by Nor Cargo (today Bring Frigoscandia). The main objective
was to save the environment for CO2.

Environmental influence will be one on of the key decision factors when
it comes to where our customers will buy raw material and produce consumer
goods in the future.

This year, our logistics partner, Bring Frigoscandia, has taken the concept
to a new level and continued to develop a more environmentally friendly and
sustainable transport solution by offering rail solutions between Norway and
Netherlands. This will give our customers competitive advantages and
the market value of fresh foods from Norway too Europe will for the years
to come continue to increase.

Coast Seafood and Bring`s goal for the new rail solutions between
Norway – Netherlands are:

• New environmentally friendly rail system between Norway
  and the continent is part of our strategy to create sustainable
  transport solutions for the future
• We offer new solutions for our customers when road taxes
  increase and highways are closed by regulations on Sundays
  and public holidays or when traffic jam more and more often
  block and delay the shipping of goods to the continent.
• The first weekly train will alone reduce CO2 emissions by
  4 000 Metric tons per year
• In addition over 3 000 truck loads will be removed from
  the overloaded road networks

Coast Seafood and Bring will continue to develop sustainable solutions.
Our goal is to develop these options further to fulfill our customer’s
future demand.
